π Grilled Peaches with Vanilla Ice Cream & Orange Blossom
The Sweet Finish to a Garden Party
For our September garden party, we wanted a dessert that celebrated the tail end of summer produce while still feeling light and indulgent. Grilled peaches were the obvious choice.
I love how simple ingredients can feel elevated when treated with a little care. The peaches caramelized on the grill, the ice cream melted just enough, and a subtle drizzle of orange blossom water added that delicate, floral lift. It was the perfect ending to a table of golden roast chicken, crisp salad, and buttery couscous.
The Recipe
Ingredients (serves 6):
3 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
1β2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
1 tablespoon honey (optional, for caramelization)
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1 teaspoon orange blossom water or a drizzle of orange blossom vinegar
Fresh mint, for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat your grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat.
Brush peach halves lightly with olive oil or melted butter. For extra caramelization, brush with a little honey.
Place peaches cut-side down on the grill. Cook for 3β4 minutes until char marks appear and the fruit softens slightly.
Flip and grill skin-side down for another 1β2 minutes.
Remove from grill and let cool slightly.
Serve warm peaches with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. Drizzle with orange blossom water (or vinegar for a tangy-sweet twist).
Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve immediately.
Why Youβll Love It
The combination of smoky sweetness from the grill, creamy vanilla ice cream, and the subtle floral note of orange blossom makes this dessert feel special without any complicated techniques. Itβs a crowd-pleaser for late-summer gatherings, dinner parties, or just a weekend treat.
