💪 Protein-Packed Coconut Oat Energy Balls

A fertility-friendly snack to fuel your body, balance your hormones, and satisfy your sweet tooth — all at once.

Hey loves ✨ Let’s talk snacks.
When I started eating with fertility in mind, I quickly realized how much my body craved something easy, nourishing, and just a little sweet — especially between meetings. If I don’t prepare myself some snackies, I get stuck on back to backs and the day gets away from me. That’s how these little bites were born.

These Protein-Packed Coconut Oat Energy Balls are now one of my go-to snacks. They’re quick to make, full of hormone-supportive ingredients, and delicious enough to keep me reaching for one every afternoon (and okay... sometimes after dinner too).

🌿 Why They’re Fertility-Friendly

Each ball is packed with nutrients your body loves during egg freezing or any preconception phase:

  • Omega-3s from ground flaxseeds to support egg quality

  • Plant protein to keep blood sugar stable and support hormone production

  • Coconut and almond butter for healthy fats and vitamin E

  • Oats + cinnamon to support inositol balance and steady energy

  • Optional maca powder for hormone support (especially for stress and libido)

📝 What You’ll Need (Makes 12–14 balls)

  • 1 cup quick oats

  • ½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut

  • ½ cup almond butter (or peanut butter)

  • ¼ cup ground flaxseeds

  • ¼ cup protein powder (I also added my collagen powder)

  • 2–3 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1–2 tbsp warm water, as needed

Optional add-ins:

  • Dark chocolate chips 🍫

  • Maca powder (1–2 tsp)

  • Extra coconut or cocoa powder for rolling

✅ A Note on Protein Powder

Use a clean, high-quality protein without weird fillers.

  • Plant-based (pea, hemp, pumpkin seed) is ideal for fertility

  • Here’s the one I use *

  • I like unflavored or vanilla so the cinnamon and coconut shine

🥣 How I Make Them

  1. Mix everything together in a big bowl until it forms a thick dough.

  2. If it feels dry, add warm water a tablespoon at a time.

  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.

  4. If I’m feeling fancy, I roll them in coconut or cocoa powder.

  5. Pop them in the fridge for 30 minutes to set (or just eat one straight away 😅).

They last up to a week in the fridge or a month in the freezer — if you don’t eat them all first.

💬 Real Talk

These energy balls are my little daily ritual. I grab one between meals or right after a workout, and it feels like I’m giving my body a hug — the kind that says, “I got you.”

Whether you're prepping for egg freezing or just looking to add more hormone-supportive snacks into your routine, these are worth a spot in your fridge.

Let me know if you try them —
